And I'll Form the head!!!

Let's face it,since 2007 summer( i think) lack-luster trash-former and it's equally crappy sequel trash-former:Revenged of the frogger rob us of our hard earn money and time..the thought of some hot shot director making a good live action 80's metal hero onto the movie seems like a nightmare for me. Rumor mill has it that another 1980's metal hero shall be making its' way to in our not so far future summer blockbuster movie..voltron....... These are only a few concept art of it.. It appears that Atlas Entertainment has taken the reins on the project and is gearing up a pretty impressive pitch. no confirm release dates, directors, plot and even actors were named as of this moment..

trekies...

Image
not a big fan of the star trek world or star wars world but hey if J.J abraham says he's doing a movie about star trek then i'm watching....like every other star trek movies it's boring and kinda well boring... here's the scoop on star trek..:"The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James Kirk, is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock, was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before. .." I went and watch this movie without any expectation and i came out the movie with a smile on my face..is has believable characters, good acting, nice effects, good comedic timing/punch lines...is a good movie... i personally enjoyed it...now is your turn..go see it...

a long hiatus on my blog indeed..ok back to bizness.....moviee,movies and some more movies...i'm a comic geek...n wolverine is 1 of my many favorite comic book character..so after learning my lessons that hollywood will twist n turn the story comic story..i didn't hold my breath on the latest comic book adaptation to the silver screen.:"X-men origins: Wolverine".. Here's the scoop on the movie.."X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new."... Hugh Jackman as wolverine is to me kinda believable( that's after all the 3 x-men movies he stared in)..it was disappointed for me whn a hollywood director cramp 35 years of wolverine history in just an hour plus movie.. is an ok movie..not that great and it does not suck...

Movies!!!

Ok..Ok...if you are a serious case of movie goers then like me you'll probably fed-up with a long running streak of bad taste of movies.. the latest movie that I've watch is called "Taken"..Taken is a 2009 French thriller/action film starring Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, and Maggie Grace. It is based on a script by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and was directed by Pierre Morel. Neeson plays a retired Central Intelligence Agency operative who sets about tracking down his teenage daughter after she is kidnapped by slave traders while traveling in Europe. To me personally Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is a retired CIA operative is a mix between Jason Bourne of the Bourne identity, Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum and Jack Bauer of 24..very quick-thinking, condition, and linear type of person that moves quickly and brutally towards his goal. I personally enjoyed the movie..no wait i really really really enjoyed that movie!!!2 thumbs up for me...grab your pop corn and s...

Who watches the watchmen.

Image
After a streak of bad movies, finally came a movie that end my personal bad movie streak record..Watchmen directed by the same director that brings us 300. Director Zack Synder. The movie watchmen is base on the 1986-1987 comic book limited series Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Now I don't really know much about the background of each of the characters in the movie but if you either a watchmen comic fan or like me just a movie goer then this movie can do you no wrong. Beware cuz this movie is around 3 hours long. Not for the weak balder.. The plot so far.."Watchmen" is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. But after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered an investigation into the killer is initiated. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their ...

Round 1..fight!!!

Image
Is already a bad went to try to take what's in the comic books or cartoon and out it on the silver-screen..but video game to the silver screen??!! yes, Street fighter: the Legend of Chun Li...ok..ok here's the plot so far..wait a minute, what the heck was the plot??Was there a even a plot in this movie??Well all I can say is that this movie is base on a very popular Capcom fighting game Street Fighter. Chun Li is just 1 of the character in the game. TO me is like watching an 1hour plus of bad rap music video!!!A meandering, confused, and worst of all boring crime syndicate accounting which takes forever to unfold and does everything it can to avoid actual fighting. Watch it at your own risk!!!

Who punish the punisher

Image
Ok..ok..I never like the 1st punisher movie, whn i heard of the 2nd punisher movie is bout to be release i wasn't that hype up bout it either.. here's the plot for the movie Punisher:War zone.."Infamous vigilante and anti-hero Frank Castle (Ray Stevenson) is six years into his vengeance-driven zeal as the Punisher. When he brutally assaults a "beat the rap" party for notorious mob boss Gaitano Cesare, he is alerted to the fact that Billy Russoti (Dominic West) has escaped to his recycling plant hideout by Detective Saffiotti (Tony Calabretta) who along with Detective Martin Soap (Dash Mihok) were staking out the party. Castle infiltrates Russoti's hideout and murders Nicky Donatelli (Romano Orzari) as he is exiting the bathroom. The ensuing gunshot alerts Russoti, and a brief fire fight between Castle and he ensues, ending in Russoti being thrown into a glass-crushing machine which ends up leaving the gangster hideously disfigured. Castle, who has taken cover...

ok..ok..i'm personally not a big fan of Angelina Jolie but since i was out of movie options so i bought the ticket for the movie "Changeling".. so here's the plot...Inspired by actual events that occurred in 1920s-era Los Angeles, Clint Eastwood's "Changeling" tells the story of a woman, Christine( Angelina Jolie) driven to confront a corrupted LAPD after her abducted son is retrieved and she begins to suspect that the boy returned to her is not the same boy she gave birth to.As much as Christine would like to accept the fact that her son has been returned to her, she cannot accept the injustice being pushed upon her and continues to challenge the Prohibition-era Los Angeles police force at every turn. As a result, Christine is slandered by the powers that be, and painted as an unfit mother. In this town, a woman who challenges the system is putting her life on the line, and as the situation grows desperate, the only person willing to aid her in her sear...

Image
yes, even in the recent festive season, i did manage to catch 1 or 2 movies..A Thai movie might i say...now i don't speak thai but hey..is Tony Jaa so why bother with the dialogs when you are there to enjoy the actions. Ong Bak 2 is a 2008 Thai martial arts film co-directed by and starring Tony Jaa. It is a prequel to Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior. It has nothing to do with previous Ong Bak movie well cept for the same action hero but never the lease is Tony Jaa. ok here's the plot,Tien (Tony Jaa character), a boy who aspires to grow up to be like his father, a gallant and loyal warrior. The treacherous and power-craving Lord plots to seize total control of the country. He sends out vicious assassins do murder Tien's mum and dad and his loyal soldiers. The only survivor from this massacre is Tien, who manages to escape with deep vengeance in his heart. Tien is then captured and almost killed by slave traders before being saved by a leader of a guerilla band, who takes Tien in ...

Bedtime stories..zzzzzzzzzzz.zzz...zzzz

Yes, here i thought the hype of the new Adam Sandler movie is gonna be great. Well is great for a quick nap in the cinema. Overall the movie is very boring, acting skills are somewhere over the top at times. Ok, here's the scoop of what's up with bedtime stories..Marty Bronson (Jonathan Pryce) who raises his son and daughter on his own has to sell his homey motel to clever Barry Nottingham (Richard Griffiths) who promises to make Marty's son manager, when he's grown up and has proven himself. Nottingham pulls down the motel to raise a pricey hotel. Although grown up, Marty's son Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) works as a janitor and general servant, but unlikely as it seems, he still dreams of becoming the manager. When Nottingham announces a brand-new gigantic hotel project, he makes his future son-in-law, base Kendall (Guy Pierce), manager, shattering Skeeter's dream. At the same time Skeeter's sister Wendy (Courtney Cox) has to leave town for a job intervi...

Monkey Business

Image
I always wanted to see movie about apes going outer space and do some monkey business and I wish came true..I present you space chimps. Ok the story about space chimps in a nut shell when a $3.7 billion NASA probe disappears into an intergalactic wormhole, the agency recruits Ham III (Andy Samberg), grandson of the the first chimpanzee in space, to help retrieve the wayward craft. However, Ham is a free-spirited circus performer more interested in zero-gravity hijinks than living up to his illustrious heritage. The simian slacker becomes a reluctant hero and learns the true meaning of courage as he and his crewmates, the fearless Luna (Cheryl Hines) and their uptight commander, Titan (Patrick Warburton), risk everything in an effort to save the peaceful inhabitants of a distant planet from the evil dictator Zartog (Jeff Daniels). Is a so so movie for me personally, there are some funny moments in the movie. Bring your kids along if you have any to enjoy the show. For me personally, is ...

IP Sifu...

Image
Ip Man adapted from the life story of Yip Man, the grandmaster of the Wing Chun style of kung fu and sifu of legendary kung fu superstar Bruce Lee. This movie will be the first important record of the master's life. Ip's persistent devotion to Wing Chun is a classic example of the love and respect shown to wushu and the freedom and spirit it represents. Ip Man is a concept, a spirit, a way of thinking - and it exemplifies a new peak in Hong Kong's wushu movies. It was a great experience for me to watch that movie, and when i said great i don't use the word lightly. My great movies in the year 2008 was Iron man and the dark knight. A brief history of sifu Yip as below:Yip Man (traditional Chinese: 葉問; simplified Chinese: 叶问 1 October 1893-2 December 1972) was the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun openly. He had several students who later became martial arts teachers in their own right, including Bruce Lee. The movie itself fulfill or...

In 1951, a sci-fi hallmark (and wry commentary on the political climate of the 1950s), The Day the Earth Stood Still is less concerned with special effects than with its potent message. A humanoid messenger (Michael Rennie) from another world lands in Washington, D.C., with a warning to Earth's people to cease their violent behavior. But panic erupts when Rennie is shot by a nervous soldier and his robot companion, Gort, begins to destroy the capital. Now in 2008 with the latest and greatest Hollywood brains, special effects and technology, Renowned scientist Dr. Helen Benson finds herself face to face with an alien called Klaatu, who travels across the universe to warn of an impending global crisis. She and her estranged stepson Jacob quickly discover the deadly ramifications of Klaatu's claim that he is a friend to the Earth. Now Helen must find a way to convince the entity who was sent to destroy us that mankind is worth saving--but it may be too late. But I fear it is alread...
