Bright Idea blow up fast!!

Macgyver is laid-back, extremely resourceful, highly intelligent, optimistic secret agent of a action hero that we all came to love in the mid 80s. Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world. However Macgyver is a fictional character that was created to entertain TV viewers and Thomas Alva Edison never tempt fate by fusing both cooking gas with vehicle under the guise of saving fuel.
Both of the latest Darwin Award nominee brothers Mohd Hailmi Ishak, self-employed electrician, age 25 and Rosli Ishak, also electrician, age 30 model themselves from following the footsteps of Mr.Macgyver and Thomas Edison with a bang. Both of them are very resourceful like Macgyver and electrician and inventor like Thomas Edison. However both of this “geniuses” lack of common sense makes up in creativity by removing themselves from the gene pool. Both Darwin nominee brothers bright idea was to self modify a cooking gas onto their vehicle in the good spirit of saving on fuel. A very well thought out idea indeed until common sense or the lack of it kicks in.
Apparently not only was the Darwin Award bothers electricians they were but also self proclaim car designers, as both Darwin Award nominee decided to install cooking gas tank underneath the front seat of their vehicle of all the places in their Multi Purpose Vehicle(MPV). The actual design concept of why the cooking gas tank was install underneath the front seat of their vehicle was never reveal but one could speculate that they design in such a way as a safety measure for the back passengers if anything that can go wrong and will go wrong and has horribly gone wrong, the damage can be minimize or inflicted only to the driver in which this case the owner of the vehicle, who is also the Darwin award nominee. Good thinking!!Safety comes first.
The testament to the Darwin award nominee’s radical concept and design occurred at a local petrol station in Malaysia on November Friday night when one of the brothers was refueling the MPV while the other brother is seated in the front seat. A flawless design indeed, as the explosion occur it completely shattered the front portion of the MPV including blowing out two of its front doors and Mohd Hailmi’s left leg plus as a bonus ripped his stomach open while Rosli and a fuel station attendant who was at the back of the MPV escaped with light injuries.
Mohd Hailmi, was rushed to the Malacca Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at about 1.30am Saturday. But like every great things in life, he have seen the light and move on with better things in life where Hades might employ him to light up the pits of Tartarus with other bright ideas.
Police and relevant authorities are investigating the incident to determine how a cooking gas tank could have been modified for use in the vehicle.
The difference between genius and stupidity is; genius has its limits so said Albert Einstein. We can only hope that his half witted brother learn his lesson and perhaps grow some common sense while his still young.
