Valentine Day
Well, same time every year on 14th Feb..love is particularly thick in the air...pink and red color banners all over the shopping complex..male species are busying planning a romantic surprise for their love ones and the female species love..usually the surprise is measure in dollar, ringgit Malaysia, peso or whatever currency that your country is using to trade for goods or services… as the more expensive the romantic surprise the more surprise or love feeling the partner will feel… love or romance commercial is running on air 24/7 just to remind us to empty our pockets for this coming valentine day....I said it before and I’ll say it again it Is over-rated commercialize day that's what it is!!!Thanx to some marketing trolls, it is, it has become and it will always be a highly over rated kill joy of an occasion...
I’m not saying that all couples are that bad..is just some are worst than others…while the rest well…that’s a totally different story…some may travel to an exotic places to spend time with their partner on Valentine day or buys some bling blings for their partner to show one true love on one special-over-rated-killjoy-day to tell her that you love her..i guess after that day one can than proceed to lie, cheat and abuse his partner until the next valentine day…what a concept…a vicious cycle indeed…
Valentine's day is a bloody, gorey holiday that leaves many people drenched in the blood from their own bleeding hearts. It celebrates nothing and throughout history only exploits the weaker minds of the female gender. I mean really, who would let themselves get painted with goat blood or be auctioned off? What kind of woman is really bought out by flowery words spoken once a year? The original festivals (Valentine day) were for fertility and the blood of the sacrificial animals was splattered over women to promote their fertility? The date was also a Roman lottery system, where women would put their names in an urn and the names would be drawn to be paired off to local men who sometimes married the girls. Again, what the hell??
Seriously, get a grip. Obviously throughout history women are easily swayed by pretty flowers and lovely read goat blood. Ever wonder why everything is red on Valentine's Day? Yup, the fertility festival from the early days..
While some approach Valentine’s Day with the same exuberance as any other holiday some roll their eyes at what they interpret as a "greeting card holiday" invented to encourage consumers to buy more crap... Whatever your perspective might be on the holiday itself odds are that February 14th is surrounded with some degree of anxious expectation. There are many Valentines' cynics out there who are secretly disappointed when February 14th passes by like any other day. There is nothing wrong with being against wasteful consumerism, but there is also nothing wrong with designating a special day for people to give their loved one an extra dose of loving. So to dwell of not to dwell on the materialistic and wasteful properties of this so called holiday is the question that we all should ask ourselves:” is cupid on my shit list??!!”
I mean come on!!!Shouldn't valentine day be everyday??!!I meant kind gesture is suppose to be a habit not something that one does to get in the good grace for another..oh by the way who said valentine only restricted to boy and girl??it can be to son/daughter to their parents etc..etc..and etc...Again, I am not against love, I am against the IDEA and over commercialization of Valentine's Day, I also did some historical research on the Holiday and nothing about it came from very kind origins. There is a lot of law-breaking/sacrifices/beheading/etc involved.
And no I am not against love. Here are some ideas of making everyday a valentine day with your love ones:-
Every Day Valentine's: The little things in life that we take for granted
1. Go paintballing, play mini golf or go rock-wall climbing. The adrenaline rush will do amazing things in the bedroom later!
2. Make a collage of pictures from some of the most memorable moments during your relationship.
3. Make a CD or playlist of your favorite songs as a couple.
4. Write a story about your love -- include how you met, your current status and maybe something about the future to give your significant other some hints about what you are hoping to share soon -- a ring, a baby?
5. Cook dinner for each other.
Just to name a few but you all get the message no??
